REPAIR Sony Handycam C:31:23 Error Message ("White Lock Pin" Fix)

90% (maybe more) of all C:31:23 error messages are caused by this simple little problem, which has an even simpler fix.

It is VERY IMPORTANT to note that the replacement white lock pin's size MUST at least be close to the original! If it's too loose it'll fall out again and you'll be back where you started.

Also note that this is NOT GUARANTEED to fix your problem, and you may have other issues on top of this. It's worked for me the few times I've seen it.

As a side note, the other camcorder I thought had a C:31:23 error on it had a different error relating to something else (C:32:11, which is far more serious).
