How to Make Fluffy Dumplings

This recipe makes the most delicate, fluffy dumpling ever. I've used this recipe for over 50 years and my mother used it before that!

Chicken & dumplings can totally be made from food storage if you store:
- canned or freeze dried chicken and broth
- dry milk
- dehydrated carrots, onions and celery
- and typical pantry staples

FLUFFY DUMPLINGS
1 cup all purpose flour
1 teaspoon dried parsley flakes (optional)
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons chicken fat (or oil)
1/2 cup milk

Combine dry ingredients in bowl. Stir to combine. Add fat and milk. Stir just until all dry ingredients are incorporated. Drop by heaping tablespoons into simmering broth. Cover and cook 10 minutes. Gently turn dumplings. Replace lid and cook another 2-3 minutes. Serve piping hot. Enjoy!
