The Kirnitzschtalbahn tram in Bad Schandau, Germany

Here is The Kirnitzschtalbahn or Kirnitzsch Valley Railway that runs from Bad Schandau to Lichtenhain, Germany. The line opened in 1898, and the trams run every 70 minutes in the winter and every 30 minutes in the summer. This line runs for tourists, and has run for that purpose for it's entire existence.

The railway or tram is 8 kilometers or 5 miles long. The overhead wires carry 600 volts DC. Since this video was shot in 2002, the line has rebuild and they have added solar cells to the top of the cars to reduce the amount of power needed from the power plant to run the cars.
