700 kilograms of metal fragments have spilt onto a major motorway on the New South Wales Central Coast, puncturing the tyres of hundreds of motorists travelling to and from Sydney this morning.

A major cleanup effort is underway after the M1 was littered with sharp debris, unknowingly by the driver.
