Giant, Obese Snapping Turtles Return to the Veterinarian!
#turtle #tortoise #gardenstatetortoise
Unit an obese snapping turtle who was fed canned cat food for 12 years and Janet, an even bigger and more obese snapping turtle who lived in a fish tank she couldn’t turn around in have been at Garden State Tortoise now for 7 months. Since being rescued, they have hibernated naturally and haven’t been fed anything in hopes they’d lose some weight. Did it work? We’re bringing them back to our veterinarian to find out, but first, we’ve gotta catch them and pull them out of deep, dark mud.
