Super Smash Bros Ultimate Steve Reveal Trailer | 8th DLC Fighter (Minecraft) Nintendo Direct 2020

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate’s next fighter is Steve from Minecraft. In the brief presentation, he showed a short preview of Steve from minecraft in action, playing in a special Minecraft-themed stage. Players can swap out Steve for Alex, Zombie Creeper or Enderman. Masahiro Sakurai, explained following the announcement that Steve and the blocky Minecraft style presented a huge challenge for the team. He said, “We have to rework all our existing stages so that blocks can be placed in them.” Sakurai didn’t share a release date for Steve, but there will be a future broadcast that dives deeper on Steve’s play style.

This is the second character added as part of the second Fighters Pass. Buying the pass will get you access to 6 characters released throughout this year and 2021.

He also showed off Steve moveset. The DLC will also add tracks from Minecraft’ soundtrack to Ultimate.

Steve joins the likes of Min Min from Arms, Byleth from fire emblem, Joker from Persona 5, the hero from Dragon Quest XI, Banjo-Kazooie, and Fatal Fury’s Terry Bogard.
