El saluki o perro real de egipto es un precioso y elegante perro y además, de los más antiguos que se domestican y el primer lebrel conocido.

Es un perro tímido y con un instinto cazador muy acentuado, con mucha paciencia y perseveráncia podremos hacer que sea un buen compañero. Es cariñoso y como buen lebre, es muy rápido.
