This is an oscilloscope deconstruction of You're Not Alone! (一人じゃないんだ!) from Mega Man Battle Network 5 (DS version).
Composer: Mitsuhiko Takano
Notes:
This song's internal name is BGM_IMPRESS.
The channels from the GBA version are represented as follows:
Square 1 -- Absent
Square 2 -- Channel 3 and 7 (in part)
Wave Pattern -- Channel 5
Drums -- Channel 1
PCM 1 -- Channel 2 and 7 (in part)
PCM 2 -- Channel 4
In addition, channels 8 and 9 add a new accompaniment to the second half of the song. Channel 6 seems to be loosely based on square 1's note sequence in the original song, but if so it is heavily modified. Channel 4 is also modified from PCM 2 in the original, but the difference is smaller.
Channel 2 and 3 in this version complement each other like square 2 and PCM 1 did in the GBA version, but interestingly, here they both play the same instrument. Channel 7 acts as reverb for whichever of those two channels is the main melody at the time.
What do you think of this deconstruction? Let me know in the comments.
