Hair Donation Vlog | Hair for HOPE | Mayie Maylabs

Hi everyone! I’m honored to share this vlog I filmed few weeks ago. I always wanted to do hair donation but I don’t know how (TBH) so I asked a friend before and I also made a research on my own how to donate hair for cancer patients. I don’t have much to share, but by giving away important pieces of me, is I think way better.

There are organizations here in the Philippines that are taking part to work in this initiative. In this vlog, I came across with Hair for Hope. It is a charity unit of Heads by volu-med salon that provides free wigs for cancer patients.

It’s my first time to donate my hair and I want it to be meaningful and well documented. To cut a long lock of hair is one of the best decisions I ever made in my life and I’m hoping that someone out there will be moved by this inspiring initiative that had been the advocacy of many others. We can make a difference as this is something worth donating for most specially during this pandemic.

I hope I can make someone happy and change her outlook in life by just giving my hair after cutting it short. I hope my actions give her hope and courage to fight and continue living. “Hope that is shared is a life that is saved”.

To all those who are fighting with their life to survive, let them be healed with high hopes that grow from within. 🤍
