Create a Flood Rescue scene at Whitstable Museum & Gallery.

On 31st January 1953, Whitstable and Herne Bay where seriously affected by the Great East Coast Storm, when the sea surged into both towns causing untold damage.

The wate rose so high that some people were rescued from the upstairs windows of their houses by rowing boats!
