Governor Andrew Cuomo At Christie Institute - Inaugural Lecture

The Christie Institute was founded to provide a forum for open discussions on matters of national and international significance. The Institute will host quarterly public policy lectures, award scholarships to law students committed to careers in public service, and engage in the development of public policy initiatives through sponsored research.

The Institute hosted its inaugural event on September 26, 2019 by welcoming Governor Andrew Cuomo of New York for a discussion with Governor Chris Christie. The two Governors had a thoughtful and engaging conversation on what is needed to restore bipartisanship in governing, and how their personal relationship led to their successful joint efforts in governing, with special emphasis on their work during Superstorm Sandy. The lecture in full is available for viewing on the Institute website.

In 2020 the Institute will host events on topics including health care and national and global leadership.

The Christie Institute for Public Policy was formed in 2019 by Governor Chris Christie of New Jersey, working in partnership with Seton Hall University Law School. The Institute, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, educational organization, will foster the understanding of major public policy issues facing our nation through a nonpartisan perspective.
