MYSTERIOUS Underground River and Mangrove Forest! - Palawan, Philippines

In today's video we travel from Puerto Princesa up to Sabang on the island of Palawan in the Philippines! We booked a tour to see the Subterranean River, aka the Underground River, and we also get to go on a lovely Mangrove Tour, which turns out to be a complete gem of an experience. Our tour guide on the mangrove tour, Alfie, was so fun and kind, and he told us facts about the area for 45 minutes straight, ending it with a local song about the mangroves! It was such a cool and fun experience. You can also try a Filipino delicacy here called Tamilok, which is a huge worm that burrows itself into trees. I do not condone this ethically. After a large buffet lunch of delicious food, we took another boat up the coast to the entrance to the Underground River. After landing on a beautiful beach, we were met with monkeys and monitor lizards, and finally the tour through the Subterranean "Underground" River. This was a 45 minute tour through a magnificent cave while listening to an audio tour. The sounds of dripping water and bats surrounded us in the humid cave air.
