ТДТ-40 трактор. Сделанные из металлолома (1958).

Тракторы ТДТ-40, построенные Онежским тракторным заводом, покидают территорию предприятия и отправляются в леса Карелии в начале 1958 года.
Металл для изготовления этих тракторов получили из переработанного металлолома, собранного местными школьниками. Всего на строительство 13 тракторов понадобилось около 100 тонн металлолома.

The TDT-40 tractors built by the Onega Tractor Plant leave the territory of the plant in Petrozavodsk and go to the forests of Karelia in early 1958. The metal for the manufacture of these tractors with a total number of 13 was used from scrap metal collected by schoolchildren. In total, about 100 tons of scrap metal were needed to build 13 tractors. An interesting fact is that at that time in the USSR metal for building a dozen of tractors could be picked up in any town just from under your feet.
The TDT-40 is a Soviet skidder, produced from 1956 at the Minsk Tractor Plant and from 1957 at the Onega Tractor Plant until the end of the 60s.
The Onega Tractor Plant or Onezhskiy Tractor Plant (OTZ) is a Russian machine-building manufacturing plant in Petrozavodsk, Karelia, Russia.
