Woodturning a Cherry & Walnut Bowl Box with Maple Lid

I've had an old block of cherry laying around my shop and I decided to do something with it. I had intended to do a larger project than what I eventually finished with. But, there were many challenges with the cherry blank. It was full of small cavities and cracks. This would have likely been a great project for turners that make good use of epoxy. But, I really don't have that much experience with epoxy resin and I presently lack a pressure pot. So, I decided to try to cut away the troubled areas and it seemed to come together nicely with the walnut. I had fun with it.
