Scuba Diving at Lake Phoenix in Rawlings Virginia

On a super hot day, Andrea and Chip stopped by Lake Phoenix to escape the heat 30ft, underwater. We started off with an early evening dive to get our gear sorted out for the night dive to come. During the night dive, hundreds of bass were attracted to the lights and followed along with us hoping to nab a bite to eat. The next morning, we circumnavigated the lake to get away from other divers and have the lake to ourselves. The team at Lake Phoenix put random stuff out in the lake so you get a little rush when you find something new and interesting to look at. This time of year, there are tons of fish spawning and thousands of babies huddling around in clouds.
