Reducing Child Poverty Webinar Recording

Earlier this month the American Rescue Plan passed in Congress and became law, setting the country on the course to recovery with aid to help states and municipalities manage the current fiscal crisis and provide families key supports at a time when their needs are critical.

On March 25th, 2021 CCC was be joined by experts from Columbia University’s Center on Poverty and Social Policy to discuss the Plan’s creation of a child allowance through Child Tax Credit reforms.

This webinar recording examines the ways in which this bold tax policy initiative will have a transformative impact on the country’s ability to dramatically reduce child poverty and explore opportunities to not only make this reform permanent but identify how we might deepen the impact at the state and local level.
