Grand Couloir, the feared route to Mont Blanc

On the normal route to Mont Blanc you have to pass the infamous Grand Couloir. This is a place with very frequent rockfall. I have been there several times and have seen many near accidents. Only two days before my last visit a climber was hit by a large rock and died crossing the Grand Couloir.
