This ICT Setup Made Me $2,800 on NQ Today
In this trade recap, I break down how this ICT setup made me around $2,800 trading NQ today.
Coming into the day, price had already swept higher during London and created a bearish shift before the New York open. I was expecting sell-side liquidity to be the main draw after price created a market structure shift, fair value gap, bearish breaker, and relative equal lows below price.
This was not the cleanest trading day. The first part of the move was high resistance, with a lot of back and forth price action, but the higher timeframe draw was still pointing lower. Once price started leaving fair value gaps open, respecting bearish PD arrays, and supporting lower through up-close candles, the low resistance sell model became much clearer.
In this video you’ll learn:
- How I built the bearish expectation for NQ
- Why sell-side liquidity was the main draw
- How the ICT 2022 model helped frame the setup
- Why the bearish breaker mattered before market open
- How I used fair value gaps and breakaway gaps
- The difference between high resistance and low resistance conditions
- How the market maker sell model formed
- How I used lower timeframe execution inside the sell model
- Why turtle soup forms from a higher timeframe IOFED
- How I managed a day with wins, break-even, and a loss
I took multiple executions today, with three winning trades, one break-even trade, and one losing trade. I was up just under $700 per account, and across four accounts that came to around $2,800.
