Toyota Motor Corporation (Toyota) has added the new Corolla Cross compact SUV to its Corolla series. where sales have now commenced. The Corolla Cross will be launched in a growing number of other markets, going forward.

The TNGA*1 platform (GA-C) has enabled the Corolla Cross to achieve high-quality performance, a comfortable ride, and outstanding quietness. In addition to its exceptional comfort, the Corolla Cross provides a spacious cabin, easy entry into and exit from the car, class-leading*2 luggage space suitable for all scenarios, and safety equipment inherited from the Corolla series. The All New Corolla Cross comes in 2 variants, all of which have a CVT transmission, namely the All New Corolla Cross 1.8 Gasoline version and the All New Corolla Cross Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV).

The gasoline-powered All New Corolla Cross uses a 1.8L 2ZR-FE engine that can reach a maximum power of 140 ps / 6,400 rpm and a torque of 17.5 kgm / 4,000 rpm, which offers a driving sensation that exceeds expectations.

This urban SUV with a 5-passenger capacity is 4,460 mm long, 1,825 mm wide and 1,620 mm high. Corolla Cross provides adequate space between the first and second row seats, including spacious and comfortable passenger shoulder space. The 2,640 mm wheelbase not only makes the cabin area more spacious, but also ensures that the car feels comfortable on the road coupled with a large volume of luggage with the right floor height to make it easier to place items.

The All New Corolla Cross has a HEV engine with code 2ZR-FXE with a capacity of 1,798 cc 4-cylinder DOHC with VVT-i technology which is capable of producing a maximum power of 98 PS and a torque of 14.5 Kgm. The electric motor is capable of producing a maximum power of 72 PS and a torque of 16.6 Kgm. The power unit is more efficient and has lower CO2 emissions than the gasoline model. With the various benefits presented by this HEV variant, one of which is the use of fuel that is more efficient, but can still provide performance and driving pleasure for its users.
