To solve a differential equation, we have to find the function for which the equation is true . This means that we have to manipulate the equation so as to eliminate all the derivatives and leave a relationship between y and x. The rest of this particular topic is devoted to the various methods of solving first order differential equations.
In this tutorial, we'll be dealing with differentiatial equations in the form of dy/dx = f(x), for which we can solve by direct Integration.
As we will see in this tutorial, the constant of Integration can not be determined unless further information about the function is given. Therefore the solution without the real value of C is called the general solution, and a Particular solution is obtained if the value of C is known.
