Tungnath a beautiful place on the Chandranath Parvat is the highest Shiva temple ( approx 1000yrs old) in the world and the highest Panch Kedar temple of Uttarakhand. The trek from chopta to tungnath is around 3.5 km and will take 3 hrs on a well-maintained route. From tungnath if you want to see the picturesque view of the Himalayan range with snow peaks and green-covered mountains you need to go to chandrishila which is 1.5 km from there, is a steep climb that will take around 1 hr.
