Convergent Ladybugs Feeding On Thrips

Many plants, perhaps most plants have a primary pest or group of pests that bother them. Roses are magnet for aphids, bean and tomato plants draw spider mites and basil attracts thrips. These Hippodamia convergent ladybugs are happily feeding away on thrips. The thrips damage is showing up as the pale green to white toned spotting on the leaves. Thrips typically feed on the bottom of leaves.

I am making a larger video production of different species of ladybeetles, the feeding habits and life cycle. The ladybeetles in these videos are feeding on aphids, spider mites, thrips and other pests.
