Wildlife of the Central Apennines, Italy
Recently, I did a conservation internship in the Abruzzo region of Italy, in the Central Apennine mountain range, with Rewilding Europe/Apennines. Here is a video of the wildlife that inhabits the mountains and that I managed to see whilst I was there!
I tried my best to film but I'm not 100% happy with the results. It was my first time trying to film wildlife in less than ideal conditions (i.e having to hike for hours to get a glimpe of something). My tripod broke a third of the way through the trip and so most of the footage looks quite terrible, as I never managed to fix it. In addition, though I spent a lot on a 100-400mm lens, it turns out 400mm doesn't get you anywhere near to close enough to the rare bear or other wildlife which is on the other side of the valley!
