Final Fantasy X Blitzball - How to beat the Luca Goers (Storyline Match)

Instructions:
1st Half:
Get Tidus 1 Exp (that is all he needs for Level 3)
Get Datto 12 Exp (for Level 3)
Get Botta 12 Exp (for Level 3)

A successful pass is worth 2 Exp, so Datto and Botta need to pass six times. Datto has Nap Shot and Botta Venom Tackle innate, so you may see the point in leveling these two players. Jassu has no innate Ability, so leveling him is not necessary.

Be vigilant, or else you may lose the ball. Especially Graav is annoying, so do not get close to him.

When you collected enough Exp with Datto and Botta, try scoring a goal. Do that by luring Balgerda away from Tidus.

Before the second half begins, you should check which Ability is attached on Graav. He either sticks with Venom Tackle, or he uses Elite Defense. If he uses VT, use Tidus and then Wakka for scoring. If he uses ED, use Tidus and then Datto.

2nd Half:
The second half is paused at 3:00, so better score right before the clock hits that time, or else the Goers may even the score. Use Jecht shot to score. On 3:00, Wakka comes in and it is decided randomly, who will win the Blitz Off. If Datto is not Level 3, you better use Wakka.

*Why using Datto? Because Wakka does not have much END, so luring the Defenders away from him is a good idea. But if Graav has Elite Defense, the luring is difficult and quite annoying, so you better rely on someone with decent END, who can break through the defenders with ease (Datto). On top of that, a Level 3 Datto can always break through Graav, if he does not have Venom Tackle.

*As you can see, Nap Shot and Venom Tackle were not useful IN THIS RECORD, because Graav poisoned Datto and no Goer decided to break through Botta. But you should still not underestimate the outcome. It is worth the effort.
