How to Program Craftsman Garage Door Opener remote DIY 1/2 HP and others multi button opener My wife and I programmed the garage door remote control and it was easy to program the Garage door opener. The programming of the Garage Remote was easy and fast. This DIY project takes minimal effort to program the garage remote you need a chair/stool to get up to push the button on the garage door opener. The garage door opener remote control setting steps are;
1)Push and hold button on back of garage door opener to clear codes
2)Push same button on back of garage door opener to reset
3)Push button for garage door opener till light clicks setting it
4)Test remote to see if it opens the garage door.
5)Complete Steps 2-4 for all remotes
6)you can even set multiple button to the same garage door opener.
We have 2 buttons opening one stall and the third button on the remote opening the other garage door
