Community is at the heart of everything we do at Contemporary Asian Theater Scene (CATS).

For nearly 30 years, CATS has brought people together through theater, film, theatrical staged readings, festivals, music concerts, comedy nights, and artist programs that uplift Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) voices in San Jose and the greater Bay Area.

From screenings to staged readings, our volunteers, artists, and audiences help create the space where Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) stories and community thrive.
