My truck is a 2014 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD turbo diesel (Duramax) with 80,000 miles.
Paul's truck is a 2015 Ford F250 Super Duty turbo diesel (Power Stroke) with 69,000 miles.

Both trucks are can handle our camper-- a Grand Design 2020 model year 206RD Reflection fifth wheel.

In addition to higher miles and also being older, the Chevy has less horsepower and less torque than the Ford. It has 40 less horsepower and just under 100 pound feet less of torque. Also, it is not paid for. BUT it is loaded with options including heated and cooled leather seats, sunroof, climate control, backup camera, and has a shorter wheelbase by six inches than the Ford F250.

The Ford F250 is newer, with less miles and it's paid for. It also is much more powerful-- it's a rocket! BUT it is a base model. It doesn't have a backup camera, has cloth seats and is six inches longer. That extra length makes it harder to park than the Chevy.

The Chevy has 1000 more pounds towing capacity for a fifth wheel than the Ford. Paul has done all the maintenance on the Ford and feels the Chevy is a mystery and could mean problems.
