Finishing Knit Hats - Bind Off: "Draw Yarn Tightly Through Remaining Stitches" + Weave Loose Ends
After you finish knitting a hat, mittens, or other rounded knit that has been worked from the bottom up, you will have to take stitches off the knitting needles. In my patterns, the instructions will read, "With darning needle, draw yarn tightly through remaining stitches." This video will show you how I do that. Then, I will show you how I use the loose ends to close the hole at the top of the hat. I'll also walk you through evening out the brim with the cast-on tail. Once you've woven in and tied off your loose ends, your hat will be ready to block or wear.
