As an American in Scotland, I tried to go wild camping in Scotland but ran into a few issues... mainly with the weather. Wild camping Scotland is an amazing experience if you can make it work! But Scotland wild camping isn't for the faint of heart, as the weather can turn in an instant. We tried to go camping on the Isle of Skye in Scotland, which is supposed to be one of the most beautiful places in the world to go camping... but nature had other plans!
