how to paint a studio ghibli scene in acrylic // step by step

Hi guys! In one of my last videos it was suggested that I show how I paint every part of a painting so in this video I show you how i painted this studio ghibli scene from start to finish.

I've been painting a lot of studio ghibli scenes recently and i've come to develop a process that I follow, which i share with you guys in the video. I follow this same process every time I paint so I hope this bit of knowledge is helpful to you too!

I had over five hours of footage condensed into this one hour tutorial so if i'm rushing through any parts just let me know.

➫ acrylic paint: primary cyan, prussian blue, primary yellow, burnt umber, raw sienna (or yellow ochre), cadmium red, white, black
➫ optional: viridian green, raw umber
(if you don’t have prussian blue, you can use phthalo blue + black)
➫ brushes: flat brush, round brush, liner brush
➫ baby powder for dusting on top so the pages don’t stick together
