2021 UW DBF Aerodynamic Prototype Flight Test

Before we assemble our actual competition worthy aircraft, the team elected to test a "foam and tape" aerodynamic model in order to validate the results of our stability analysis. The thought process was - "it is a lot easier to repair a foam and tape plane than a full carbon-kevlar composite one if something goes wrong".

That definitely paid off as the first two flight attempts were unsuccessful but the third was beautiful.

Now we are moving to replicate this model using our composites and advanced materials.
