Keir Starmer is looking at curtailing the use of Article 8 of the Humans Rights Act, which states that people have the right to family life.

Julia Hartley-Brewer says it’s the fault of immigration judges wilfulling misinterpreting this article that dangerous migrants are allowed to stay in the UK.

Gavin Rice points out that the Prime Minister is acknowledging that this is a problem, but is not tackling the root of the issue - the ECHR.

He is glad that the Tories are seriously looking into the possibilities surrounding leaving the ECHR but it “should’ve happened sooner.”

They also discuss France’s pledge to intercept small boats travelling across the Channel and Rachel Reeves’s winter fuel U-turn.
