Flying a Corsair is challenging enough… but flying two Corsairs in formation? That’s a whole different animal.

My buddy Bob and I decided to take our Corsairs up and attempt formation flying — keyword: attempt. Staying close, matching speed, keeping orientation, and even trying a few loop-de-loops proved way harder than we ever expected.

The pressure really ramps up when I’m flying my own plane while filming Bob’s landing at the same time. One moment of lost orientation, one wrong correction, and this could end badly — fast.

Does my Corsair make it back in one piece, or does formation flying claim another victim?
