Rediscovering the Thrill: My Return to Pumpfoiling with the F-One JAM 1600 🤩

Long story short, today I took out my new F-One #JAM1600 for a pump session.

Spoiler alert: it's an excellent foil for pumping!

After a two-month hiatus due to a spine injury from my last session in March, I was hesitant to try pumpfoiling again. I initially planned for a light wind wingfoil session today, but the wind was barely there—just 3-4 knots.

After some reflection, I decided to try a dock start with the JAM 1600/P200. The first two jumps were too slow and overly cautious. However, the third attempt was faster, allowing me to complete a turn, and then it was round after round of pure joy.

The JAM 1600 is fast, agile, and glides smoothly—arguably better than its larger sibling, the JAM 1900, due to noticeably less drag.

I managed each run for about a minute, but with better preparation, I could easily double that. However, I'm still cautious about my spine. I need to build better fitness, and then I'll explore what's possible with the JAM 1600. Stay tuned 🙂
