Kit Armstong performs Bach on Liszt's 1862 Bechstein piano

Kit Armstrong performs Liszt's piano transcription of Bach's Fantasia & Fugue in G Minor live at the C. Bechstein Centrum Berlin on Liszt's C. Bechstein grand piano. The instrument with the piano serial #576 was delivered to Franz Liszt in Weimar on March 17th, 1862.

In a personal letter to Carl Bechstein, Liszt stated: "For 28 years I have now used your pianos, and they have maintained their superiority. In a word, your instruments are perfect."

This famous piano is an exquisite representation of German handcraftmanship and of great interest to Liszt lovers, pianists of all levels and backgrounds, and music historians.
