How to interface potentiometer with Arduino?
In this video, we will learn about the potentiometer working principle, interfacing and applications. A potentiometer is a simple knob that provides a variable resistance, which we can read into the Arduino board as an analog value. By turning the shaft of the potentiometer, we change the amount of resistance on either side of the wiper which is connected to the center pin of the potentiometer.
The read analog value will be monitored on serial monitor to check the resolution of analog input pins which is in the range of 0 to 1023. We have also used map function to map the input analog value on the analog output which is in the range of 0 to 255.
You can also display equivalent voltage with its corresponding digital code converted by the internal ADC of Arduino.
