Savage 64 battle of 2 different CCI's August 7, 2025
Well, earlier today I tried some CCI mini mags, and that was a dismal failure in this rifle. Not even going to show it. Although these are nothing spectacular, they are much better than the mini mags, lack luster performance. Just walking you guys through my ammo testing of a new rifle. I've fine tuned some things on the rifle, but the most solid improvement was the D&T of the scope bases. Much more solid than mounting on the dovetail. Generally that is not an issue, but this steel receiver is so smooth, the Warne rings were slipping in the dovetail. No bueno, and I wasn't going to tighten anymore, in fear they would snap!! You win some and you lose some there. BTDT. HA HA..
