Cold starting a 2007 Land Rover Discovery 3 2.7 HSE Diesel

Cold starting my 2007 LR3 / Discovery 3 in -17°C
It has a two year old alternator, and a month old Odyssey 2150S AGM battery.
The movie was shot in the mountains above Tunhovd in Norway, at approx. 1000 meters above sea level, during christmas 2014.
I have a working Webasto fuel burning heater, but no remote or timer control, so the engine was not heated in any way before I started it.
I think I have a faulty glow plug and/or EGR valve so the intial "firing" of the engine could probably have gone even smoother, but all in all I'm pretty satisfied.
You can see the message "Special Programs Off" in the display right after start, it may be related to the cold and/or that I the evening before had a Terrain Response program enabled (due to deep snow as you can see from the rims...)
