Donald Trump wears a mask for the first time in public - as Florida confirms 15,000 new Covid cases

Florida has confirmed more than 15,000 new cases of coronavirus - the state's biggest daily increase since the pandemic began. (Subscribe: https://bit.ly/C4_News_Subscribe)

Infections are continuing to soar in large parts of the United States - with a growing number of governors making face coverings compulsory in public places.

Even President Trump wore a face mask in public for the first time, on a visit to a military hospital - declaring "I've never been against masks".

And America is not alone - there's been a record increase in global cases too - up more than 230,000 in 24 hours.
