First Year of Acoustic Guitar Progress

Hello friends, this video shows several clips over one year of playing the guitar. Videos were recorded roughly every month for a little over the first year of playing.

Many of the songs played were learned from LetsPlayGuitar!’s finger style tutorials. Occasionally songs were found on YouTube which were taught by other youtubers, such as “The Force Theme”, which was taught by Sped Spedding.

For the first four months, most of the practice centered around the song “The Force Theme.” Soon after playing the song many times, other tutorials and lessons were found on YouTube. For several months, several songs were learned from “Let’sPlayGuitar!” On YouTube. Music theory, scales, and other techniques were overlooked during the first year. In retrospect, it would have been very useful to learn a few of those techniques to assist with the progression. A clip was added from about 13 1/2 months to show progress in a song, rather than of improvisation.
