Exploring Arthur's Seat, Edinburgh, Scotland

Arthur's Seat is located in the magnificent Holyrood Park in Edinburgh, Scotland. It's the perfect place for a quiet walk away from the hustle & bustle of the city. Like the castle rock, Arthur's Seat was formed by an extinct volcano and consists of a series of hills forming Holyrood Park. Arthur's Seat itself is just 823 feet high and is a relatively easy climb if you're fit and able. The views from the top, especially at sunset, can be quite spectacular and dramatic. Some believe Arthur's Seat is linked to the legendary King Arthur. If you're looking from some fresh air and a little breathing space, Arthur's Seat is the place to head for, especially during the busy summer months.
