Emptying the Manure Pit
With all of our manure line troubles last year, our manure pit was very empty compared to normal years, so we decided to pump it ourselves to save some money. Alan used our International 1066 to pull the tanker and the International 1256 to run the agitator. Things were going pretty smooth until Alan heard a BANG! Turned out, the agitator broke in the same spot it did last year. A quick welding job by Alan's brother, Matthew, and we were up and running again. We got the field finished up and ready to get a quick work up before planting it with oats and peas.
