These theories were not real science. They were tools used to justify discrimination, exclusion, and inequality. Understanding this history helps us recognize how fear and false beliefs shaped immigration laws. This topic also challenges us to think about how harmful it is when people claim others deserve to struggle, fail, or be excluded simply because of who they are or where they come from.
