Big Seal RIPS Rescue Net

Naude and Denzil on a very windy morning came across this large Cape Fur Seal bull. On the run in Naude hadn’t realized that the net had turned inside out, and went over the seals head like this. The next problem came in that this big animal tore a hole through the net, managing to get his whole head out. A very dangerous situation. The only option they had was to pull him higher up the beach, release him and hope to catch him again. Luckily they managed to pull this off and cut the loops of chocking fishing line off the poor animals neck. 🦭
