Casa Winter is not just an old house in the mountains above Cofete. Inside, visitors report seeing what look like operating rooms, tiled rooms with drains, heavy doors and strange, windowless spaces that don’t fit the usual layout of a rural Canary Island villa. Some interpret these as simple technical or storage areas, while others believe they point to a more disturbing past.​​​​​​​​​During my visit, I saw rooms that resemble treatment spaces, narrow corridors and corners that feel more like a facility than a family home. The building doesn’t openly reveal its purpose, it invites questions. Are these features innocent remnants of another era, or did they once serve a very different function?​​​​​​​​​
