Out of the Abundance of the Heart His Mouth Speaks

At the end of Luke's version of the Sermon on the Mount/Plain, Jesus turns directly to the sins that come from the mouth of men.

Jesus places a lot of emphasis on how his followers will speak, for there is a direct connection between the heart of a man and what flows out of his mouth.

This makes sense in light of the whole Sermon on the Plain since Jesus speaks of judging others, condemning others, blessing people who may curse you, and praying for those who persecute you.

One application of how this can be considered is how do we as Christians implement Jesus' teaching from the Sermon on the Plain in our interactions on the internet? Are we quick to judge the heart of another person? Do we make rash judgment or perhaps even slander?

Take heed of the Master and perhaps spend some time to acquire some self-knowledge on "How do I follow the Lord with the way I communicate with others in person and on the web?"
