THIRD CUT HAY 2019.

Our last cut of hay for 2019.
This video was supposed to be maybe 2 days long… But as we all know, Mother Nature has her own agenda, and she never shares the changes with us.

We cut hay last Friday in hopes of a weekend rendezvous of harvest. But what we got was 3 days of much needed rain, but it put hay harvest on hold.
In the meantime, work still needs done.
Mark spread manure, I hoof trimmed ewes due to lamb next month, and shipped some lambs to be sold at a local store I work with.
But always, in the back of my mind, I’m at unrest when hay is cut and laying for days in the fields.

By Monday, we were back at it.
We tedded the hay back over the field to shake out the excess moisture, and Tuesday we raked it back up and finally got to harvesting.
