The processing cycle of jute goes through from cultivation to harvesting to ratting to jute products.

These plants take nearly 3 months, to grow to a height of 12 to 15 ft, during the season and then cut & bundled and kept immersed in water for "Ratting" process, where the inner stem and outer, get separated and the outer plant gets form a Fiber.
Then the plant get separated and washed to remove dust from the plant.

The fiber after drying is taken to village market Jute mill.
