This is your USD News Minute.

The first USD Innovation Challenge is kicking off this Friday. It’s a campus-wide entrepreneurship competition launched by the Knauss School of Business, the Joan B. Kroc School of Peace Studies and the Shiley-Marcos School of Engineering where students will share startups ideas that address unmet market needs. Teams will compete for $20,000 in Innovation Challenge cash prizes, and compete to be USD's representatives at the Fowler Global Social Innovation Challenge Global Finals.

USD’s Jewish student union and Hillel San Diego are hosting an interactive Jewish Passover Seder followed by dinner and reflection at the Ministry Center in Founders Hall on Wednesday at 7 p.m. Click the link above to RSVP.

And, mark your calendar for the annual Strawberry Festival hosted by USD Dining on Thursday from 11:30 - 1. Come enjoy free strawberry foods and drinks along with music and a cake decorating contest.

The Jacobs Institute is looking for tech-savvy undergrads to take part in their eSPAC3 Summer Scholars program. It uses things like Minecraft to help children learn computer skills, and expose them to careers in tech. USD applicants who are chosen will be offered a three-thousand dollar stipend. You can apply through May 5. There are more details below.
