The New Shop!
We have just opened a brand new ETSY shop that will host jewellery made by Nicole, using a selection of beach finds from our videos - we also take custom orders. Of course, Tiliabythesea will still be open for business.

11:25 Making a shadow frame sea glass art project: the lighthouse
Today we are in Tayport, formally, Ferry Port on Craig - Craig is Scots Gaelic for 'rock', and this foreshore certainly lives up to the name! The ferry that once ran from this area of the Tay, is reputed to have been used by Macduff as he fled capture and death at the hands of Macbeth - the very same Macbeth that inspired William Shakespeare's tragedy of the same name. Prior to the Rail and Road bridges that now span the Tay, ferries ran back and forth from many ports along the river.
We make some really nice finds, some amazing lavender sea glass, really nice sea foam and blue pieces, a vulcanite stopper and an amazing and very rare piece of purple sea glass. We would have stayed around for much more, but the tide chased us off this foreshore...
We return to the house and Nicole shows how to go about making a lovely lighthouse inspired memory of our day using a few pebbles and some sea glass!

Social Distancing: Although we would love to take you futher afield, we will have to wait until we are allowed to do so. At present, we are following guidance to only travel short distances, remain local, and adhere to social distancing recomendations. We are very fortunate to live in the Kingdom of Fife where places like Kirkcaldy, with its vast beach front, are on our doorstep and are seldom visited by any more than a handful of people at any time.
